Fox News host: Liberals can buy coat hangers if abortion is outlawed

  Fox News

Following the passage in the Texas Senate of an extreme anti-abortion law, a Fox News host took to his Twitter account to direct liberals to a website that sells coat hangers.
Earlier this week, the Texas Senate finally passed the Republican backed anti-abortion law that is expected to be signed by Gov. Rick Perry. Democrats have attempted to block the passage of the bill, most notably Rep. Wendy Davis (D) who spend over 12 hours on the Senate floor to hold a filibuster against the bill. The bill did fail that night, but due to a special session set up by Gov. Perry, the bill was able to finally get pushed through. The anti-abortion bill would ban all abortions after 20 weeks and close all but five abortion clinics in the state.
To the surprise of no one, the Fox News team was filled with joy. One of the loudest opponents of abortion is Fox News host Eric Erickson. Erickson has been known to make controversial comments about women in the past and this time tweeted out another insensitive remark. Erickson's tweet stated "Dear liberals, bookmark this site now" with a link to storesupply.com's inventory page where they were selling coat hangers.
Erickson later commented on his blog, Red State, that he was simply mocking the women who appeared on the Senate floor claiming that if the bill was passed, women looking for an abortion would have to result in the back ally method used before Roe v. Wade was passed. Erickson later tweeted another commented.
"People offended by my mocking their coat hanger hyperbole are cool with decapitating a child in the utero."
Erickson also referred to the pro-choice crowd as the "kid killing caucus," continuing with his theme of anti-abortion rhetoric.
